Manual valves are valves operated by handles and handwheels, and are commonly used in equipment pipelines. Its handle and handwheel rotate clockwise to close and counterclockwise to open. But there are also a few valves that open in the opposite direction to the above opening. Therefore, attention should be paid to checking the opening and closing signs before operation.

The handwheel and handle on the valve are designed for normal manual labor, therefore, it is stipulated that operators are not allowed to use levers and long wrenches to open or close the valve during use. For handwheels and handles with a diameter (length)<320mm, only individual operation is allowed. For handwheels with a diameter>320mm, two people are allowed to operate together, or one person is allowed to operate the valve with an appropriate lever (generally not exceeding 0.5m in length). However, diaphragm valves, pinch valves, and non-metallic valves are strictly prohibited from being operated with levers or long wrenches, and excessive force is not allowed to close the valve.
Valves such as gate valves and globe valves, when closed or opened to the end (i.e. bottom dead center or top dead center), should be rotated 1/4 to 1/2 turn to make the threads better fit and facilitate operation, in order to avoid problems? Too tight, damaging the valve components.
Some operators are accustomed to using levers and long wrenches to operate, thinking that the greater the closing force, the better. However, this is not the case. This can cause premature damage to the valve and even lead to accidents. Except for impact
